After a period away in Otago on a different work project its good to return to Southland and the wonderful fly fishing this region provides.

To see clients again and meet new ones returning or visiting for the first time post Co-Vid was just great and to see the joy on their faces as they returned to their favourite stretch of water and explore the ripples and corners once more makes it even more special for me.

To say the season of 2023/24 post Christmas was one of ever changing weather would be an under statement, wind rain sun wind rain sun mostly the first two, however the fishing was once again there for those who ventured out and as we all know fishing and especially fly fishing is a never ending learning experience.
