Full Day
A full days Guided Fishing for one to two anglers is NZ$800/850
I will pick you up by four-wheel drive vehicle from your accommodation in or around Gore or meet you at an agreed location and time if you are based further afield. Travel time to our chosen water for the day varies from 30 minutes to 2 hours (ex Gore) depending on the time of year, the weather and water conditions. A normal days guiding begins at 08:30 am and finishes around 5:30pm . Lunch, refreshments and snacks are provided on a full days guiding.

Half Day
Within a 50 km radius of Gore, when you are short on time, I can offer you a morning or afternoons fishing on our local waters. You will be picked up by four-wheel drive from your accommodation and taken to local waterways. I will normally have you back at your accommodation by mid day on a morning booking 08:30-13:00 and 13:00- 6.00 pm for an afternoons booking . Snacks and refreshments are provided.
Morning or Afternoon Rate for one to two anglers is NZ $350/400
Add NZ $50 per person if more than 2 Anglers
Casting Tuition
A casting tuition rate can be discussed based on personal needs, the style you choose, your experience and the time you have available.
Multi Day Booking
An adventurous and popular option for many anglers is the multi day booking. A minimum of 2 days is recommended as this will maximize our fishing opportunities based on local water and weather conditions along with the changing menu of the trout as the season progresses. You will see a variety of the country and will have the opportunity to fish several different waterways. This is an extremely flexible option where I can design your guided fishing adventure, from Back Country Rivers to Coastal Regions, communicate and exchange ideas with you so that the result is as near to what you are seeking on your New Zealand experience. Kids Under 16
Age is no barrier when it comes to fishing or to learn new skills and how to apply these skills to catch a fish, let me share my experience and knowledge with your family members be it during School Holidays or on the weekend.
I am Police Vetted under the Vulnerable Children’s Act and are also a Full Member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association.

I have reserved the right to cancel or postpone the trip if I believe severe weather conditions or any situation is hazardous to us. Your safety is paramount to me. In the unlikely event where we must cancel or postpone, I will endeavor to reschedule your trip to meet your needs. If due to “Mother Nature” or some unforeseen hazard occurring a refund (minus 30%) for the day or days we can not fish will be given. If you yourself are the hazard due to misinformation, are under the influence of (alcohol, drugs or heavy medication) and are not following my safety instructions no refund will be given, As your guide I will reserve the right to terminate the day’s fishing based on this. Rates do not include additional fees such as accommodation, or freshwater fishing licenses' , however all of those I can arrange for you. If you wish to purchase your New Zealand freshwater fishing license prior to your arrival, please visit www.fishandgame.org.nz and follow the instructions. Make sure you enter your email address so that an electronic copy of your license can be sent to you. This is an easy option allowing you to keep your license on your phone. Please also get a Designated Waters License added to your license if you wish to fish these waters. The Designated Waters License is available with a full season resident and/or non-resident license. Any questions about your license please let me know and I will gladly help you. I strongly recommend you take out suitable travel insurance in the event you need to cancel the trip for any reason. I hold all the relevant Risk Management and Health and Safety plans, Insurances, DOC concessions to operate on conservation land plus a current First Aid Certificate for your peace of mind. Appropriate safety equipment is carried both in my 4-wheel drive vehicle and on my person for the duration of our trip together. This also includes a 406 MHZ personal locator beacon registered with Maritime New Zealand and Medical Kit.
